THE CITY OF ORMOND BEACH

In the case on Ocean Terrace Traffic Calming (2 Speed Humps) 65 percent of the neighborhood DID NOT approve. Unfortunately fell short of this requirement. City Of Ormond Beach Staff moved forward disregarding the discussed procedures at the Ormond Beach Traffic Calming Program Workshop. The solution was not established. The Traffic Calming (2 Speed Humps)are installed at this time in error on Ocean Terrace? Installation of the speed humps on Ocean Terrace should not have taken place?
Why is Ormond Beach not following Ormond Beach Traffic Calming Program Workshop guidelines?

As innocent residents, We should not have to tolerate this City error. Just as it would be wrong to replay every football game that fell short of winning. It is wrong to force any resident to submit to a redo after the vote to install fell short. People who exercise power over the residents should have to do so in a competent and morally reasonable way. Otherwise, as a matter of Representing The City Of Ormond Beach they ought to be excluded from holding any political power. Every owner resident involved only expects no less than the City Of Ormond Beach to stand behind what they agreed to at the Ormond Beach Traffic Calming Program Workshop. Please remove the Calming Devices installed in error.

PLEASE REMOVE THESE TRAFFIC CALMING SPEED HUMPS, the vote fell short and they have been installed in error.

Persis, and Rob Littleton, City Manager Joyce Shanahan, Assistant City Manager Claire
Whitley, City Attorney Randy Hayes, and City Engineer Shawn Finley.

(Page 4) reads:
Commissioner Selby questioned if two votes would take place on each program or just
one; whereby, Mr. Finely stated the item would receive one vote. He noted there would
need to be support in the beginning and once 65 percent of the neighborhood approved,
staff would move forward with looking into the project. He noted once the solution was
established, it would be voted on by the residents requesting the program.

PLEASE REMOVE THESE TRAFFIC CALMING SPEED HUMPS, the vote fell short and they have been installed in error.
